What's in a name?
Maximilian Motorsports was founded by Maximilian Macdonald, who pulled his first engine at age 12 and was driving by age 13. It is not surprising that he continued to engage his passion for all things car-related. Over the years he has participated in various forms of road and drag racing. Even having the opportunity to participate in events like the Cannon Ball Run, One Lap of America, Rally Cross, and everything in between.
In The Beginning...
The array of events he was able to participate in led Max to open his first auto repair shop, circa 1993. The humble one-car garage was located in downtown Chehalis next to the railroad tracks. Maximilian Motorsports developed into a culmination of the experiences and opportunities that fueled his passion for cars, honoring the tactical precision of the track and bringing it to the road.
As the business grew, so did the need for more space and skilled technicians. Maximilian purchased property on the outskirts of town and with the help of a few close friends, a new shop was built. The 5000-square-foot shop has since expanded to include 7 bays with hydraulic lifts, top-of-the-line diagnostic and repair equipment, and a gorgeous showroom lobby for customers to wait and enjoy a refreshment.

Maximilian Motorsports has been an automotive pillar in Lewis County for nearly 30 years, with a spirited history of high-quality work and dedicated customer service.
As the automotive industry changes, so does Maximilian Motorsports, always striving to improve our expertise, advance our technology, and continue to meet and exceed the needs of the automotive community. Our technicians are provided with training opportunities that sharpen their mechanical knowledge and advanced tools that enhance their ability to provide the best diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services in the area. We proudly offer services for not only European vehicles, but also offer services for a wide range of foreign and domestic cars, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
Through our success, we have been able to serve our community through various volunteer events, donations, drives, and fundraisers. In return, Maximilian Motorsports has been recognized through the years by local township, state, and business organizations for its continued efforts to better the surrounding community.
